  • How does the LASAAC help preserve the Shelby American vehicles?

The LASAAC helps preserve the Shelby American vehicles in many ways. The club organises various events, conventions and meetings which, besides offering entertainment and enjoyment to the participants, also provide a wealth of information about things such as how to keep the vehicles in top condition, trustworthy restoration shops nearby, solutions for the most common problems and just about anything related to care, maintenance and preservation of these iconic cars.

  • Are LASAAC car shows and other events open to non-members as well?

LASAAC events such as the annual Carroll Shelby Tribute and Car Show, and the Tony Sousa Car Show are open to all who are passionate about the Shelby American vehicles including non-members. However, the club also regularly organises events for members-only.

  • What are the benefits of joining the LASAAC?

The LASAAC members enjoy a number of benefits but the ability to attend members-only events is perhaps the main advantage of joining the club. Membership in the LASAAC also brings discounts on entry tickets for car shows and a voting right at the monthly LASAAC meetings.

  • Do you have to own a Shelby American to be able to join the LASAAC?

No, you don’t have to own a Shelby American in order to be able to join the LASAAC. The club is happy to welcome anyone who is passionate about the iconic vehicles and is willing to pay the annual membership fee which helps cover the club’s expenses.

  • When are club meetings and are they members-only?

Club meetings are held every third Tuesday in the month unless stated otherwise. They are open only to the LASAAC members.

  • Who decides about the club activities and events?

Many of the club activities and events are decided by the board of directors but many are also organised after holding a discussion and consultation with the LASAAC members, with some even being put on voting. As mentioned above, you need to be a member of the club in order to have the right to vote.
